All I know about Lanterns is that I did a movie with Kyle Chandler and he was the sweetest guy. Lent me his MGB because I flew into the set whereas he drove. Glad that he’s made himself a great career.
Agree - heroes do experience fear, but overcome it. That is what makes them courageous. As for Kyle Chandler, thanks for sharing your experience with working with him. Truly great people are kind and thoughtful, no matter how famous, or how important they are. He's a great one!
Fear is a very, very big motivator and a good factor in why we are in the position we are, indeed. And that fear is partly why we have sadopopulism, the tactical nuclear weapon of politics.
Blacks have been saying a kind of an "We told you so" with the Trump regime. Between going first after immigrants, and next after opponents, it's certainly added to fear. Not to mention Julie Roginsky's column yesterday detailing data collection that will eventually give a full picture of every person, including what they do in their home. Social media and the surveillance state make this time worse than 1930s Germany. And I'm unfortunately generally a fearful person, but not the type of fear to demonize others. Just sometimes the fear to stand up.

Fear breeds hatred. Humans tend to hate what they fear.
