The analogy to family harmony reveals more than the unity liberals intend. They're like the elder who says YOU are the problem for talking about abuse. Can't we just have a nice family dinner (but don't let the kids sit on Grandpa's lap).

"UNITY" = OBEY!

Sinema solicited and accepted Republican “support” AND ignored and abandoned the Democratic friends, voters and supporters that got her elected. She acted like a prissy meangirl bitch to anyone who questioned her entitlement, lack of responsiveness to constituent concerns, and misuse of her official time and resources. She was purely transactional in that office and Republicans didn't need to be bipartisan, they just needed to be “by Kyrsten”. Manchin was always Republican-lite.

Bipartisanship for its own sake is stupid. Dems have bought into the whole bipartisanship thing, but repubs don't care about it. If they can get Dems to go along with their crap, fine, but if not, fine too, as long as they have the votes to pass their crap. Dems need to be more like that, about bipartisanship, but instead of promoting crap, they promote good stuff, which most Dems do. Renewable energy, infrastructure, feeding hungry kids, universal health care (OK, maybe not most Dems in Congress). There are other things that I just can't think of right now, but there are so many things that would help so many in this country. Americans won't care if the vote was bipartisan or partisan, if it benefits them. Actually, they should care, and they could, if Dems were better at messaging and made sure that THEY did it, and the repubs voted against it.
