A plurality of Ohio voters (36%) seem to fancy themselves "independents". This would be a good year to show some and stop electing Republicans who consistently kick them and the rest of us in the face.
"Trump himself formally announced his last presidential campaign on November 15, 2022, just after the midterms. This was earlier than everyone else because Trump was desperate to avoid prison. Still, if Vance is serious about a 2028 run. he should have had conversations with his boss by now. (Fortunately for Democrats, Trump is a sadistic psychopath who will enjoy pitting Vance against every other candidate who might want the nomination.)"
Ohio's GOP may be dominant right now, but those of us old timers remember a not-so-distant past when the state voted for Obama, and Sherrod Brown was a favorite son. I think a lot of Ohioans are of the "I didn't leave the Democrats, they left me" variety, and Republicans haven't put much time or effort into ensuring they put forth quality candidates because for over a decade they haven't had to. This seems to have reached it's zenith in this piece of shit, and while I don't expect a blue tsunami in Ohio necesarily, it would be *really* nice to see them say "no more" and spit in the face of this amoral scumbag.
Republicans=slug-slime. The few who do stand up to the Blob eating their party are as rare as the "not all men" who speak up against the sexual violence of their peers.

Vile people made and put out this ad, and vile people are defending it. It's worse than the Willie Horton ad of 1988, as far as I can remember.
