Dr. Martin Luther King Jr would have also understood using "concern" over the price of eggs as a cover up of bigotry - not voting for the competent Black lady, and voting for the traitorous, felonious rapist white guy, who is also a liar and incompetent.
He would've understood concerns about the price of eggs. He also would have known when people were using the price of eggs as an excuse for something else, which is beyond a lot of people's capacity these days.
THIS is what this day is all about.
Well written, Stephen.

Thank you SER for helping to remind us all the great importance of remembering this man as only human and not some aggrandized super power.
It is a great post and sentiment, and he and his work are what I celebrate.
Thank you, Stephen. Wonderfully said.
