I saw Mr. Braugher in Glory but it was in Homicide: Life on the Streets that I remember him best. A fine actor, gone much too soon, condolences to his family.

Back when I was acting full time, I did a double episode of Homicide. It was in the 7th and last season so Braugher had already left the show. I got to work w Giancarlo Esposito (which was cool) and Yaphet Kotto (which was endlessly cool), but I regret not having been able to watch and learn from this man.

Missed a second chance when I couldn't do an ep of Hack, because I had relocated to Milwaukee.

Now I teach, and just yesterday - an hour before the news broke - I used, as I do each semester, a scene of Pembleton in the box with Isaiah Washington. Great teaching tool. He was the finest actor on TV...and Viola Davis and Olivia Coleman are on TV. So...

I will miss this man.

A wonderful tribute. It’s so sad we lost him too soon. I can only imagine how much more he might have developed his comedic chops and how likely delightful that might have been.
