I donated to McMorrow when she made the original speech in the Michigan Senate and donated when she announced her Senate candidacy. And I'm not from Michigan. Just like her fight and have offered myself for many, many years - since Limbaugh and Newt - that Democrats need to deal differently with Republicans. MAGA is the logical outgrowth of all of this.

Democrats should be able to say the GOP is a sick death cult full of eunuchs who cannot act independently of Trump, all without implying the party was ever any good. Instead, talk about how the Democrats are the party that looks out for regular people, improves their quality of life, and Republicans just loot the country in a cash grab for rich assholes and nutjobs. Nominate people who can say this bluntly, rudely and virally. People who talk like normal people you might meet at a barstool or checkout line, who don’t sound as though they workshopped every line through advisers (fine to workshop it, just don’t sound like you did).

Calling for new leadership is 100% the way you get the thrall of Democrats, kinda heard them called the "silver-tongued smooth talkers."

Either she'll do a Sinema/Fetterman or she'll come to realize what a huge roadblock the Senate is, and what a gift it is to the unreconstructed. Now she shall not BE part of leadership as a fresh Senator. So I often think of this as doing the rhetoric necessary for Dems to buy in.

After all you do have to know how legislation operates in the Senate. Dems can't afford to have Ron Johnson-like deadwood after all. Gotta still do votes, and once she votes that's going to kill the "outsider" mantle.

Now one thing in her favor: I don't seem to see any Green Party history.

Oh yeah speaking of Schumer, since he was mentioned here, where's Internet fave AOC? Latest reporting has her being "coy." It's time for the Internet faves to get in the barrel. Someone on DailyKos was even posting an article gleefully saying "Schumer's in trouble! Schumer's in trouble!"

So why has she not declared full-throated she intends to run? President Klan Robe showed the way this'll have to work, you have to keep running way before time, running off season so your name is in people's mouths. Remember, part of the pressure to remove Schumer like people want is to defeat him from office in 2028 and you need to have the campaigns starting now. At the very least they can start getting him to an early retirement as he's Democratic Enemy #1.

Thanks Stephen. I'm so glad she's running for US Senate.
