Talking With Democratic House Candidate From Oregon, Nolan Bylenga

Rep. Earl Blumenauer from Oregon’s third congressional district turns in his badge and bowtie at the end of this year. He’s my representative so I figured I should start reaching out to the Democrats running to replace him. (Yes, this is an open invitation.)

First up is Nolan Bylenga, who last ran for a state house seat in 2020 . He heads into the primary with some stiff competition against more seasoned candidates with much deeper pockets. Nolan grew up in rural Oregon, where he organized a Black Lives Matter march in Pendleton and was greeted with more Confederate flags than he’d ever seen.
