They want her to like them sooooo bad...and it's killing them that she's damn near perfect: smart, attractive, talented, popular, and unfazed by their fury. And...the 90s wants its 'he must be gay' insult back.

I had my kids at 36 and 41, after several abortions. They are now productive adults. When I think about their peers whose parents were still teenagers I feel sad. Some of those kids ended up being raised by their grandparents (not nearly as fun as having a happy and engaged parent). I'm really glad I waited until I could handle the responsibility of being a parent. These right-wingers are nuts.

Something weird is going on - I didn't get the email notification of the new post, and if it were just that, I'd just shrug. The really weird part is the time stamps on comments - Sep 17, and various Feb dates. Maybe I'm on an old post?

ETA: I am on an old post, as the date is January 31, 2024; yet it's featured as the latest post.

I'm a little confused, too, but let's just carry on as if everything's fine and it's "new" and we haven't hit some kind of time warp—because, honestly, isn't that the only logical next step in what's going on these days?

Sorry for the confusion. I thought when I crossposted this, the email included a note saying this was an older post. It’s the first one from when I started on this newsletter full time, which was a year ago today.

Oh, it did—I guess I just expected it to redirect to a new set of comments. Not your fault, I'm just glad I'd had enough coffee yesterday to figure it out, lol!

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't get the email, so checked my settings, and I am still on the the notification list.

The chuds have the WH, both Houses of Congress, and the SC, but they are still sad and mad. Like the Abomination, they are pathetic.

I'm a Chargers fan and don't like the Chiefs but, as a non pop music fan I am a Pro Taylor Swift because of the sheer hate Kelce and Swift got for being kind and not the alt right princess they want her to be.

The question is not why Travis Kelce would go out with Taylor Swift; it's why Taylor Swift would go out with Travis Kelce. She's a much bigger star than he is.

Expand full comment

That dude knows nothing about female physiology, reproductive or otherwise. If Taylor and Travis were to start having children right now, she could easily have 3 before turning 40, and another 2-3 before 45. Now, the first 3 kids, being born after both she AND Travis have turned 35, are at a slightly increased risk of genetic abnormalities, such as trisomy 21 (Downs Syndrome), and the risk increases again when they are over 40. HOWEVER, the odds are still in their favor to have healthy children.

Now, what probably REALLY bothers these ass-hats, is that Travis and Taylor are both very happy, very successful, and very fulfilled WITHOUT yet having children. And it might stay that way, which would TOTALLY blow their fucking minds!! How on earth can a woman be happy and fulfilled without producing offspring for a man?!?!?!!?

Anywho, both my kids were born after I was 35. Happy and healthy, and absolutely awesome in every way. I wish nothing but continued bliss for Taylor and Travis, whatever they may choose to do with their reproductive lives.

And in closing, THANK YOU, Stephen, for sharing your thoughts and wordsmithing, 'cause your prose slays!!

When cruelty is the point, she really sticks in their craw.

Excellent as always, Stephen. I’m in the same age bracket as Ms. Swift, and I really admire her willingness to speak up. It grosses me out that a majority of white women voted for Trump. Ladies. Why. Whyyyyy.

Congratulations, SER!

Also, you're right, and also they're stupid and I can't believe them. For some reason the hotsy take of "MAYBE you're LUCKY to squeeze out a mere TWO kids..."

That assmange can, can...well, I'm too much of a lady to comment on what he can do*.

*fuck right off.
