folks do not believe it when I tell them that there are entire swaths of NYC with no grocery store.

Food desserts are common all across this country. If they can successfully tackle a large metropolitan area such as NYC and all the burroughs.

These idiots who oppose this plan seem to be confused about the differences between communism and socialism.

It was only five years ago that I was standing in a 40 minute line at the Supermarket to stock up on food because of a pandemic.

I went early in the morning in the following weeks and months and found empty shelves in many aisles.

You will forgive me if I do not find rich capitalist pigs screaming "SOVIET BREAD LINES!!!!!! ZOMG!!!!" to be very convincing.

It's a very good, imaginative idea to combat food deserts. But a lot of Americans do enjoy hurting others, especially if they think that they're not "deserving" of help or even basic amenities.

The government already runs grocery stores on military bases, is that scary communism too?

This is such a great point. My inlaws *love* the commissary.

"Cuomo has also claimed that he’ll flee to Florida if Mamdani is the next mayor."

I won't be the last person to say it, but that would be worth casting a vote for Mamdani in and of itself

Strangely enough this is about an echo of what the pricktator did. What a weirdo this guy is.

Yep. Cuomo is WAY too 'Trump adjacent' personality-wise for my liking

It actually feels like him going on a Lieberman trajectory.

“Send Cuomo to Florida” does have a nice ring to it.

Florida is the "Promised Land" where oppressed billionaires can go to live FREE.
