Hunter Biden never claimed to be the Messiah

My last comment was interrupted when I mistakenly sent it out. Let’s try this again.

Hunter Biden never claimed to be the Messiah, bent on sacrificing his life as a free man for anyone daring to vote Democratic. What Republicans clutch their pearls about is that, yeah, he checked the “non-drug addicted” box on that damn form for a gun permit.

Republicans were ready to send him to Hell, when SO many of their fellows BLEW THAT AWAY.

Deep in their hearts, Refucklicans can only WISH their own crimes could somehow be this ephemeral, to escape the punishment they will SURELY receive!

Karma IS a bitch.

All of the Trump voters I have spoken with did not know who or what policies they voted against. They sincerely believed Kamala was a weak socialist in over her head, her father a Marxist, and immigrants were given a free pass by the current administration to rush across the boarder with drugs in hand stealing raping and taking hand outs while they paid nothing in taxes. Trump voters were completely brainwashed by the GOPs propaganda machine. They never once heard Harris but somehow they knew a lot about her father who was nowhere in real life. Nor did a single Trump voter know anything about the current policy successes. The Democrats need to stop assuming people are aware, see or hear them in their MAGA controlled echo chambers. Sadly many of these people were not even core republicans, just sucked into a sea of disinformation and fear mongering. Honestly the democrats should have been in tune enough with the citizens to recognize and address this long ago.

Stephen, thank you. Apparently the truth is too nuanced for the corporate media, the pundits, the so-called centrists (I'd argue they are repugnicans, just not as far to the right as the nazis and christo-fascists), and toadies like Nate Silver.

.

We can only guess what would have happened if Biden had decided not to run again and called for primaries. He knew Kamala was the best guy for the job, but that doesn't mean the Democrats and independents would not have chosen yet another white guy in the primaries. It would have been ugly and the Rs would nave still done what they do best, ratfucking.

.

Biden's presidency has to end and time must flow by before we understand what his legacy will be. I'm grateful he beat that criminal PAB in 2020 and saved the country. Now I hope he can protect those who need it from what's coming.

Thanks Mr Robinson. You are spot on.

As if Biden's pardon of Hunter, the personification of Republicans' relentless abuse of power, is going to make MAGA and Trump worse!

What the hell are they even talking about?

Biden's legacy should be that he made decisions and orders designed to make Trump's and MAGA's transition period as excruciating and painful and horrific as they are going to make our lives during their reign.

If only Joe had given this amount of fucks early in his presidency, we probably wouldn't be in this predicament with convicted felon as president-elect.

Letter I sent to my governor:

Dear Governor Polis, Thank you for your years of service as, in my opinion, the best governor this state has ever had. Needless to say, I have voted for you in every election.

That being said, please kindly STFU about President Biden’s pardon of his son. That has been a politically motivated shitshow from day one. Those are bogus charges and always have been . Hunter has changed his life and made reparations as much as possible, so everyone should just get off his ass.

President Biden is doing the right thing to protect his son from the overreach what will be a totally weaponized DOJ. If you decided not to pardon your child in a similar situation then I would be ashamed of you.

And please, please, stop carrying water for the goddamned Rethuglifascists. Your pearl-clutching is embarrassing.

We have to fight Trump and the ‘Thugs with everything we’ve got! Stop equivocating!

Your Loyal (yet highly annoyed) Constituent, (marcus)

Stephen, did you read Kim Wehle's piece in The Bulwark last night? Titled "In Defense of the Hunter Biden Pardon," Kim lays out a lawyer's-eye-view of why the pardon makes absolute sense. Paired with your piece, I can't imagine anyone feeling differently -- especially those of us with grown (non-perfect) children.

Great minds, my friend, great minds.

I have devoted several intense minutes of thought to the implications of Joe Biden pardoning Hunter and...IDGAF, thought the MAGA meltdown has been chef's kiss.

Rock on, Joe.

"Institutionalists assume that if Democrats lay back while their asses are kicked, people will compliment their dignified asses, but voters never do. They just say, “What a bunch of asses.”"

Ayup. Try telling the democratic consulting class in DC, who spend their lives crouched in fear that some republican somewhere might say something mean about them. FFS.

There cannot seriously be a single person in this country who truly and honestly thinks Trump would have hesitated to pardon a single person or break a single norm based on “Gosh, Biden didn’t even pardon his own son”. He might claim it as an excuse, but it won’t change his actions. Biden was right to protect his son. If only he would be as proactive in protecting the rest of the world from the horrors to come.
