Cool column. I also love Jesus Christ Superstar (and am seeing it in Seattle soon with some great local musicians in some of the roles).
Question: Hey, when I try to use the spring fling link in this article I’m only seeing the regular price ($50/yr) not the price you mentioned. Am I doing something wrong? Or did your special end after April 10?
And here I always thought of Massive HEART attack when I heard the name. What silly things corporations think.
It’s raining here in NorCal. We need it but more so, we need the snowpack. Still, spring has sprung forth and with it, my allergies especially at the house in the Sierras where we are surrounded by pine. Still worth the stay there to see the Rufous Hummers fighting around the feeders.
I never recognized this! This might've been around the time I stopped watching MTV. It's really great to learn about this really unsung musical history.
God, I love Massive Attack. Their "Protection" album came out when I was working in Dublin, Ireland at a coffee shop after college. Someone played it over the sound system and I immediately went out and bought the CD (which was insanely pricey there compared to the U.S.). Still a banger.

Probably my error! Will correct.
Trip hop pioneers! I didn't hear them until the mid-90s. Loved that Bristol sound.
The only Massive Attack I know is the "House MD" intro. So now I can say I've heard another!

Have a lovely weekend all.
Over here on the east side of the Sierra we are expecting sn*w over the weekend.
I am not amused.
I can imagine. Our Match/April was too warm for this time of year.

I don't know Unfinished Sympathy, I'll check it today. Thanks for the rec, have a great weekend everyone. Touch grass, drink water and pet your pets.
Remember everyone, you are wonderful, you are important and you are more than enough.
Thanks, and you as well!
