Have we all considered that professional Democrats might actually be fine with this? They are wealthy themselves, they have wealthy friends. They might be okay with authoritarianism and not make weaves because they just want to enjoy the perks of their office, collect lucre, and let the tanks crush the little people.

I have. Professional politicians for the most part are owned by corporate masters. The wealthy give to both parties and own whomever is in the office.

People will think "oh not my Senator" but yeah your senator and mine too.

I think you’re right. Dems and Repubs alike feed at the same corporate troughs, and too many “traditional” Dems are way too comfortable in the seats they’ve held onto thus far by playing the same political games they always have.

It’s almost as if neither Jeffries nor Schumer has ever had to deal with a bully before. You don’t just hand your lunch money over to the mean kid who punches you and tries to shake you down; you punch him back and tell him to f*ck off. Otherwise, he’ll be back the next day. Bullies are basically cowards who back off when you make it clear you’re onto them and you’re not playing their game, because you’ve brought your own game. Jeffries and Schumer need to get their game on, if they can find it.

And like my old man said, “If he whips your ass, make sure he knows he’s going to have to do it all over again tomorrow and the next day and the next…

I feel like maybe Democrats are taking a cue from being punched in the face in 2024. As there is no live federal election right now showing anyone's path is winning against the pricktator and his forces, who even knows? I figure Democrats could at least picket their offices if they want Jeffries and Schumer to post more and better.

After all, the pricktator is emboldened by "official immunity" and the inbuilt deference to the unreconstructed in the political and legal systems. You would never see such proposals to make the Republican Party illegal as even conceivable—I sure can't. But the Democratic Party? Because the Democratic Party is the prime political voice of Black people (not to mention numerous other vulnerable minorities) that is why this is on the table.

But even the Internet faves aren't trying to get rid of Schumer and Jeffries, which is signaling to me that Schumer and Jeffries are ablative armor to soak up anger of people while the faves stay in their safe environments and feel free to post knowing they'll never have to deliver.

I have never once voted for any republican for anything.

These two losers are happy pretending it’s 30 years ago and everything is just normal, everyday politics.

They should pretend they’re Republicans and maybe work around the edges of the safe everyday standard…. Like republicans who feel so free to violate every constitutional right and get away with it all.

Republicans are free to violate Constitutional rights because they represent those who have always had those rights. This means there is an inbuilt deference to the unreconstructed in the political and legal systems of the USA. For example, we can see Republicans sue to make sure people can't get student loan relief and this defeat is upheld by Taney Court 2.0, while the pricktator gets not only "official immunity" but the ability to destroy cases with just wild, out there affordances (like we just saw in Georgia!)

Well said! I have several questions:

1) If Dem "leaders" weren't such weenies, and pushed back effectively against maga bigotry, would maga be so emboldened to threaten us all?

2) When will the Epstein Files be released?

MAGA is emboldened because the pricktator has official immunity, has godhood status because of the Republican that tried to assassinate him in Butler (so more culthood), and they know that Americans are happy to self-own in order to protect their privilege, prejudice and/or Internet clout. And most importantly, they are by and large the people who have always had rights in the USA...and that means massive deference in the political and legal systems. The possibility space is just different!

The Epstein Files, as such, will never be released because the pricktator is the costar of them. Nevertheless, he got to become President twice because he's not elected to be a non-scumbag or actually treat women and children correctly. He's elected to destroy the minorities that the unreconstructed hate.
