But there is at least some number of former Trump voters--who even voted for him in 2020--that are turned off by this, for whom that whole spectacle was a bridge too far. (It's one thing to contest your defeat in court, even if you have no legal basis, and quite another when a violent mob crashes the Capitol) Democrats would be wise to feature ads with someone like Michael Fanone--a former cop and Trump 2020 voter who turned on Trump after J6 because he was literally assaulted by the mob Trump is trying to lionize. Get him to make the case that yeah, even if you thought Trump was fine up to that point, this is the damn line here, this is too damn much to ask, and anyone disgusted by the sight of a president sending a violent mob to kill congressmen--and injuring and even killing some of the cops who tried to uphold law and order--needs to ensure that Trump never holds office again.
It seems the inmates are in fact running the asylum.. country wide. Just follow the Trump timeline from early on.. better yet follow the Heritage Foundation who wrote this screenplay years ago.
