Anybody complaining about this casting couldn't care less about Shakespeare, has probably never seen the play performed and never had any intention of going this time around either.

It was a story dreamed up by a great writer in a few days. If Shakespeare couldn’t have it ready in time of opening the owners of the Globe were to perform another writers work. This is history and documented history too. You bozos need a life.
This is a bizarre version of the kind of zero sum thinking they always engage in. They act as if any racially novel rendition of a familiar work somehow erases every past rendition, imagining that it narrows the cultural universe rather than expands it.
