Scarborough is scum that directly created rump, just bc two turds had a following out don't mean they aren't still turds. Someone with that much to atone for should be a bit more humble IMHO.
I'm sure they would all agree with " trust but verify" when it comes to their "advice".
Traditional midwestern liberal. Like Humphrey, Mondale, Sebelius, Wellstone, Franken…
Solid, traditional liberal.
Like so many Democrats are and the easy majority of midwesterners were, before, uh… ‘cultural issues’ like “will the wrong* people benefit from traditional liberalism?” became the concern of many.
Adam Kinzinger supports this ticket. AOC supports this ticket. Joe Manchin supports this ticket. Joe Walsh supports this ticket. John Giles, Mesa Arizona GOP mayor, supports this ticket. Current polling shows a spike in college educated white women supporting this ticket (I think it's 2/3 if I recall correctly).
I think among a lot of wonderful choices, VP Harris went with the one who had the best chemistry with her. He has a somewhat Biden-ish way to him which makes him appealing. Yes, he's Progressive because he makes government work for the people of his state. AND? SO? It's really hard to come across as a caring individual when you attack someone for giving food to kids and providing menstrual products to girls.
Walz is a real one. Loving the fact that Harris went bold with this pick, and the wild thing is his life story gets even more interesting the more you learn about him! Harris knocked it out of the park.
Well done! I watch/read lots of Bulwark. I am glad they are anti-Trump but their views still are typically critical of democrats, or somehow expecting them to do everything right and to their liking but republicans can go crazy and they still remain registered republicans.
I find it weird that the Democrats are the only ones who get scolded for not adding Republicans to their ticket or administratrion. Republicans double down on White Male Supremacy and it's fine with the puncits. We had our hands full dealing with Manchin and Sinema in trying to get progessive policies through Congress.
I'm so happy that Harris doubled down on a VP candidate who shares her, and the majority of Democrat's, goals. I love that Walz is a genuine midwesterner who appeals to many diffferent constituencies.
Hayley or Romney on the ticket would be a death knell for this election. I certainly wouldn’t vote for either of them and I’m sure I’m not alone. If the GOP never Trumpers think that would have been a solid choice they are living on Earth 2 with the other nut jobs.
Romney's too old and Haley lacks conviction. Trump would have been better off choosing her, though I'm glad he did not. He wouldn't have been able stand someone who called him out during the primary.
Until the change in the line up, I was filled with dread. Upon hearing Biden was leaving I was very worried. Then along came Kamala. I only heard all the crappy stuff about her particularly with regards to Slick Willie. She has knocked my socks off. I wanted Kelly but now understand that that too means I should never advise anyone in their campaign.
The Dems have been whip smart and enormously cohesive in this last part of the campaign. People are truly tired of tRump’s bullshit. Even Republicans.
I finally feel like we have a good chance of ridding politics of the GQP once and for all.

All elections are base elections. Without exciting the base nothing else matters.
Damn straight!!
My very favorite quote today: "Voting for Jill Stein should come with a souvenir dunce cap."
Please, someone with artistic talent, please make a Dunces for Jill Stein dunce cap!

*ahem
'Restricted country club Tudor Dixon crushed Whitmer among Republicans in 2022'
Tudor/Dixon is my cross-historical British-American civil wars dividing line.
Also really sick of the never trumpers referencing Reagan with a wistful adoration.

And she looks so HAPPY when he's talking, like a proud Mom!
They have such cool aunt and uncle energy and I am here for it.

Yes! I love Harris and Walz. It feels like they are rebooting everything and it's wonderful to witness.
*pundits* not puncits
pancit is good, though

I hope we win it all. Let’s vote!
that pic of Walz and the piglet will never not be adorable
MSNBC pointed out how contented the piglet looked.
Was that graphic a joke or actually on Fox. Hard to tell these days
I saw it yesterday and thought it was satire. Looked at it later and it was listed as such. But the top reason is pretty much what they want.
Thanks. I wasn't sure. I shared it then thought "better check" Glad I did
'unsupervised female health decisions'
I keep going back to that at the top of the article... sweet unicycling Jesus
*edit* yes, it's fake but it's accurate
About that graphic: “Taxes on couches”?!
