Curtis Sliwa, of all people, has spoken graciously about Mamdani's win. I'd love to see Mamdani put Sliwa in charge of the NYC animal shelter. It's reputation is deservedly horrible for the treatment of animals in its care (they aggressively put down animals who don't get adopted) and I bet that's the kind of passion project Sliwa could really sink his teeth into.
