Author Billy Corriher — the first guest on this podcast — returns to discuss his latest book, Justice for the People: The Anita Earls Story. Corriher is the state courts manager for People’s Parity Project and a longtime advocate for fair courts and progressive judges. He worked at the Center for American Progress from 2012 to 2017, and he’s helped fight GOP efforts to pack the courts in his native North Carolina with far-right judges. His work has appeared in Facing South, Governing, ThinkProgress, and other outlets. In 2021, Billy released his book, Usurpers: How Voters Stopped The GOP Takeover Of North Carolina’s Courts.
