To all of us, and especially to you Stephen, take care of yourself. This has and will be a hard blow.

If anyone does, you deserve a good vacation. Enjoy it! You've been working your ass off here, and elsewhere, for the past year at least, and I can't thank you enough.

The most important lesson I’ve ever learned came to me from womanist movement movement circles (by way of Jen at Americans of Conscience): self-care is a radical act. Believing that you have inherent worth, that you don’t need to produce anything to be valuable, is a wholesale rejection of the pillars of fascism: bigotry, oppression, and exploitation.

So I’m extremely happy to know you’re taking time off. Your writing means a great deal to me, but you matter much more.

SER like all of us today I can understand your state of shock. My husband and I are beyond bereft imagining all the horrible things that are going to happen. .

If he gets rid of all the civil servants who refuse to play fealty there will be no one to manage the government on the very foundational level.

They voted in oligarchs that have zero idea how to run a government. Sadly it will collapse and then what? Like the plane flying into the WTC it will be systemic collapse.

If there is any solace to be taken it’s that Trump has never done one damn thing he ever said he would. I hope that this time is no different.

I like that last point, and he seems more interested in creating a new attention-getting narrative each week instead of acting on something he talked about last week. Although there are exceptions.

Take care Mr Robinson. I thank you for your work.

Thanks a lot Merrick Fucking Neville Chamberlin Garland.

You failed at your duty and will be lined up against the wall by the new regime for your pains.

That's not fair.

Neville Chamberlain bought a lot of tanks and guns.

Donald Trump is a decades-long, money-laundering, tax-dodging criminal and Russian asset that never should have been allowed anywhere near the White House, let alone the presidency. And would have already been in jail but for the failure of our national security agencies to hold him accountable. And that was before he sullied the office, continued criming, and then incited a violent insurrection in an attempt to overturn the election and overthrow the government when the country said, ‘You’re fired!’ He belongs in prison.

Love to you, man.

Keep holding them to the fire.

Like I always say...SER stories, not "Sir!" stories.

It's definitely a good time to take a week off. Unfortunately a positive, inclusive message cannot combat racist scapegoating, it seems.

We left it all out on the road and I'm proud of you all. I said this election would reveal the fundamental character of American, and once it is fully over it shall.

Cheers. I had a bottle of prosecco ready. Maybe I'll pop it when I close on the house I intend to buy in Italy.

Before the election, I declared that if I was going to live amidst the ruins of a declined empire under an aspiring authoritarian, I might as well do it in the tranquility of the motherland. Meloni seems comparatively sane and reasonable to Trump. And maybe Rutte might turn out to be a competent defender of Europe.
